Dear All,
A very warm welcome (literally!) to the October Newsletter.
The September meeting organised by Tasting Team members Tony and Cherry Cabban was a resounding success. You have already received a follow up mail from Neville regarding the wines and a request to support local producer, Santi Signes and his associates, by visiting their wine shops in Javea and Gata. October Meeting – October 19 – NOW FULLY BOOKED
Tasting Team members Neil Robertson and Vicki Wyatt have arranged our October Tasting, details of which were previously communicated to you. This is a dinner bed and breakfast event at NODUS, one of the beautifully situated Bodegas in the countryside of the Utiel Requena region west of Valencia. We will be staying in their on-site Hotel Rural Entreviñas. This event replaces our normal evening tasting this month.
November Meeting – November 16th
We will meet again at the very popular Los Amigos Restaurant in Javea. Tasting Team members Andrew and Kathy Johnson will be selecting wines for us to taste with Christmas in mind. There will be suggestions for pairing with some of the typical Christmas fare. You can be sure of a great venue, a super menu and some delightful wines. Make sure that you save the date. You can’t book this yet but will be able to book from the end of October and a reminder will be sent.
December Meeting – December 7th
I will be hosting this meeting at A Bordo Restaurant, Club Nautico, Javea and it will be our Christmas event. Please note this is earlier than usual and is the FIRST Thursday of December.
AGM – January 18th, 2024
The AGM will be held on the above date at Restaurante La Senia, Denia, followed by a tasting hosted by the new President. This is a very important meeting and will review our activities in 2023 and plans for 2024 as well as the election of Committee members. Please make a special note to attend if possible.
