CBWS Tasting held on 16/05/24 at Denia Yacht Club, and attended by 46 members and 8 guests. A presentation of 5 wines from Bodega San Isidro, Jumilla. Wines were presented by Antonio Lopez, Commercial Manager and Julien Bodin, Export Manager

Wine 2 Description | Delicate pink salmon colour. Intense and elegant floral aromas, like strawberry, blackberry and cherry. Very fresh, light, soft, with sweet sensations and modest acidity. |

Wine 3 Description | This wine joins together all the features of its Mediterranean origins. A poor limestone soil, continuous hours of sunshine, and non irrigated old Monastrell vines cared for by the expert hands of our wise winegrowers. The result is a genuine wine with great personality, an intense cherry red colour, and deep aromas of ripe fruit combined with wood and spice sensations coming from its oak ageing. In the mouth it is warm and smooth, with a great variety of sensations, pleasant and with a persistent finish. |

Wine 5 Description | Natural Sweet Red. 100% Monastrell. There is no addition of sugar or alcohol, as in other sweet wines; That’s why it is a natural sweet.Next, the wine is placed in oak barrels, where it will remain for 8 or 10 years until it is later bottled, labelled and put on sale on the market. The Lácrima Christi wine constitutes an oenological relic and is a tribute to the ancient farmers and winemakers of Jumilla. |
Closing Comments | First time using the Denia Yacht Club as a tasting venue. Food was enjoyable, and wine was served as requested. If using the venue again, would request that the cava reception be held on the terrace. |
