Newsletter February 2025 Tasting
Dear members A belated Happy New Year to everyone. Our programme of events for 2025 is on the website and offers a great variety of types of event, locations and wines to be tasted, for example, this year we are including a tasting of one of Spains most iconic (and possibly least understood) wines – sherry! Also, in September, we are holding an event called ‘Who do you think we are?’ For this event we will be presenting some of the fascinating experiences/achievements (sporting, musical, volunteering, endurance, political, etc) of 5 of our members, together with their favourite wines. So, what we are asking is that you nominate a member (with…

Tasting January 2025
Held at La Senia restaurant at Nou Roma Hotel in Denia on 16 January 2025 This was the first tasting of 2025, held immediately following the AGM, hosted by Neville and Sara Richardson. It was attended by 44 members and guests, numbers being reduced by several health issues on the day. As is traditional, the wines tasted were our highest scoring of the previous year. There was one exception, as only one white (and no rosado) featured in the top ten, Neville chose to include the Ceramic Sauvignon Blanc from the December tasting (which was not scored). Wine 1 Name and Vintage Quintaluna 2021, Vidas y Vinos Ossian, Vino de…
